MOSCOW, March 7 Sales of Lada Vesta cars with automatic transmission will begin on March 11, and they are already being shipped to dealers, AvtoVAZ reported.
AvtoVAZ announces the start of shipments to dealers of Lada Vesta cars equipped with an updated 1.8 EVO engine and automatic transmission (CVT),” the statement says.
«The new power unit is installed on all models of the family, the recommended retail price of Lada Vesta with 1.8 EVO AT starts from 1,588,900 rubles (sedan in the Comfort package. Sales of Lada Vesta with automatic transmission will begin on March 11,” AvtoVAZ emphasized.
According to company president Maxim Sokolov, today this is the most affordable car with an automatic transmission in Russia.
Production of the Lada Vesta with an automatic transmission and an updated engine began at the end of February. This engine was developed specifically for Vesta with automatic transmission. To assemble the 1.8 EVO engine, AvtoVAZ operates a separate line with automatic quality control.
AvtoVAZ owns production sites in Tolyatti and Izhevsk. In mid-May 2022, the French Renault transferred its share in AvtoVAZ (67.69%) to the state ownership of the Russian Federation. Now the brand consists of four families of models: Vesta, Largus, Granta and Niva. Sales of Lada cars in 2023 amounted to 352.6 thousand units (an increase of almost two times in annual terms).
