MOSCOW, March 7 Terrorists planning an attack on a synagogue in Moscow were eliminated in the Kaluga region, the FSB of the Russian Federation reported.
«When detained, the terrorists offered armed resistance to the Russian FSB officers and, as a result, were neutralized by return fire,» the report says.
It is emphasized that firearms, ammunition, as well as components for making an improvised explosive device were seized at the place of residence of radicals in the Kaluga region.
The investigative unit of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Kaluga Region has opened a criminal case on preparation to commit a terrorist attack by a group of persons (Part 1 of Article 30, Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
