MOSCOW, March 7 The volume of the National Welfare Fund (NWF) in February 2024 increased by 336 billion rubles, to 12.259 trillion rubles, and decreased in dollars by 90 million — up to 133.436 billion dollars, according to materials on the website of the Russian Ministry of Finance.
“As of March 1, 2024, the volume of the National Welfare Fund amounted to 12,258,661.2 million rubles, or 6.8% of GDP projected for 2024, … which is equivalent to $133,436.0 million,” the Ministry of Finance reports. The volume of liquid assets of the fund (funds in bank accounts with the Central Bank) as of March 1, 2024 amounted to the equivalent of 5.044 trillion rubles, or $54.910 billion, which is 2.8% of GDP projected for 2024.
