
MOSCOW, March 7 Russian citizens with status of foreign agents and those living abroad will be able to vote in the presidential elections on a general basis, Gennady Askaldovich, special representative of the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry for cooperation in the field of ensuring the right to freedom of religion, Ambassador at Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said in an interview.
«There are no obstacles for citizens with a special status, in particular, the status of a foreign agent. They can vote at polling stations on a general basis, confirming their Russian citizenship and presenting their general foreign passport,» the diplomat said.
The Federation Council has scheduled presidential elections for March 17, 2024. Voting will last three days: March 15, 16 and 17. Four candidates registered by the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation are vying for the post of head of state: Leonid Slutsky, Nikolai Kharitonov, Vladislav Davankov and Vladimir Putin.
