Vyalbe: 17 skiers were taken to hospitals after a massive crash at a competition in Sochi, one was hospitalized

President of the Russian Ski Racing Federation Elena Vyalbe shared the latest information about the victims of the massive collapse at competitions in Sochi. Sport Express writes about this.
In a conversation with a journalist from the publication, Vyalbe clarified that initially 17 athletes were taken to hospitals with various injuries. Of these, one skier was hospitalized. At the same time, the president of the FLGR found it difficult to accurately name the injuries she received.
The emergency occurred on Friday, March 8 at the beginning of eleven in the morning on a ski slope near the village of Esto-Sadok. In conditions of poor visibility due to low clouds and fog, the athletes were unable to stay on their feet on the descent.
The prosecutor's office of the Adler district in Sochi joined in checking the circumstances of the incident.
