Vlada Morozova, a 22-year-old tightrope walker at the Great Moscow State Circus on Vernadsky Avenue, died in intensive care after she fainted minutes after participating in a harmless stunt. Circus director Edgard Zapashny announced the death of the artist.
He clarified that Vlada took part in the illusionist’s trick of appearing from a “magic” box. A few minutes later, already backstage, she lost consciousness. Several resuscitation teams arrived at the circus. For more than three and a half hours, doctors, along with the other circus performers, fought for the life of a girl whose heart stopped several times. The artist was taken to the intensive care unit of the First City Hospital, but she could not be saved.
Zapashny emphasized that all artists undergo a medical examination before each performance. Vlada was no exception. Judging by the reviews of other artists, immediately before appearing on the arena, Vlada felt good, laughed and joked.
According to Telegram channel 112, the cause of Morozova’s death could have been hypoglycemia. It is alleged that the girl took medications that prevented her from gaining weight. The tightrope walker allegedly weighed 40 kilograms. The circus management neither confirmed nor denied these assumptions, suggesting that we wait for the final verdict of the specialist.
The 22-year-old artist had a wide specialization. Vlada Morozova took part in performances as an aerialist, horsewoman, and tightrope walker.
