Krasnoyarsk deputy Vyacheslav Dyukov, who previously called the contract soldiers participating in the war “alcoholics” and “homeless people,” reported on his trip with a “humanitarian mission” to the front. NGS24 drew attention to the publication.
As the publication previously wrote, on February 14, at a meeting of the Krasnoyarsk City Council, Dyukov reprimanded local official Yuri Savchuk, who was responsible for recruiting volunteers for the war in Ukraine, for the ineffective work. In his speech, the deputy said that in Krasnoyarsk, contracts with the Ministry of Defense are mainly concluded by “alcoholics, homeless people, scourges, prisoners.”
Dyukov was later criticized by local residents and fellow members of the United Russia party for these words; the deputy himself publicly apologized for “a statement that does not correspond to reality.” On February 17, Dyukov was expelled from the party.
The day before his expulsion from United Russia, the deputy asked to be removed from the post of head of the urban planning committee of the Krasnoyarsk City Council “in connection with his departure to the zone of the SVO for an indefinite period.” At the same time, in today’s post about returning home, Dyukov writes that the trip has been prepared since January.
On February 29, the deputy wrote that he completed “the mission of material, medical and special support for our new special unit, which is preparing to participate in the Special Military Operation,” and is now heading to the front. In the post, Dyukov also conveyed “ardent greetings” to local publications that published a speech in which he called contract soldiers “homeless people” and “alcoholics.”
As 7×7 noticed, in 2023 Dyukov called the residents of Nikolaevka, who opposed the regional renovation program were “blackmailed” because they were dissatisfied with the amount of compensation for the demolition of their housing. Later, the ethics commission found no violations in his words.
