MOSCOW, March 10. A woman died and two children were injured in a head-on accident in the Naro-Fominsk urban district of the Moscow region, the press service of the regional prosecutor's office reported.
According to preliminary data, on the evening of March 9 in Naro-Fominsk, the driver of a car flew into oncoming traffic and collided with a crossover in which there were two children and a woman.
“As a result, children nine and seven years old were hospitalized in a medical facility with injuries of varying severity, the female driver died from her injuries at the scene of the accident,” the department’s Telegram channel reported.
Currently, the city prosecutor's office is monitoring the establishment of all the circumstances of the incident, as well as the results of the procedural review.
«According to available information, the driver of the car was previously deprived of his driver's license,» the department added.
The prosecutor's office also reported that a criminal case has been opened against the 29-year-old driver under Part 4 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules by a person driving a car without a license, resulting in the death of a person through negligence).
