
MOSCOW, March 10. Moscow manufacturers of clothing, jewelry and accessories are increasing production volumes; clothing production grew by more than 250% over the past year, said Vladislav Ovchinsky, Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.
In particular, the Moscow manufacturer of hats and accessories has increased production output 10 times over 10 years, its catalog contains more than 180 items of goods.
«Metropolitan enterprises develop and produce essential goods and unique products. At the end of 2023, the volume of clothing production in Moscow increased by 254.6% compared to 2022. This is facilitated by the systemic and anti-crisis support of the city. Thanks to the created investment climate, enterprises have funds for the comprehensive development and promotion of Moscow products in the country and abroad,” Ovchinsky was quoted as saying by the DIPP press service.
Another Moscow company that produces clothing, a variety of textile products and accessories has expanded its range of T-shirt models five times, the press service added.
«We have significantly expanded the range — now we offer men's, women's and children's T-shirts in different price segments, for any body type and style. All of them are available in different colors and with different patterns. The characteristics of the material have also been significantly improved and new fabrics have been added,» said company co-founder Maria Batyukhnova.

As Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin previously reported, over the past year the growth of production in the capital’s manufacturing industry amounted to 22.3% (excluding the oil refining industry).
On behalf of the mayor, comfortable conditions have been created in Moscow for the development of small , medium and large enterprises. Entrepreneurs can take advantage of more than 20 systemic city support measures, such as targeted loans and subsidies. In addition, a number of anti-crisis tools have been developed.
Moscow is a city with developed production. There are more than 4.2 thousand industrial sites in the capital, employing 725 thousand people. Every year, 40–50 medium and large enterprises, as well as about 100 small ones, open in the city.
