DONETSK, March 8 Precinct elections Commission (PEC) in the DPR received ballots for voting in the presidential elections of the Russian Federation, before the procedure of transferring them, the premises of the polling stations were checked by specialists from law enforcement agencies, Deputy Chairman of the Election Commission of the Republic Anna Naidenko told reporters.
«The process of transferring ballots to PECs took place in strict accordance with the norms of the current legislation. Much attention is paid to security. As of today, all premises of precinct election commissions have been inspected by security forces and taken under guard,» she said.

The process of transferring ballots to all polling stations of the republic will end on Friday, March 8, Naidenko explained. According to her, after receiving the ballots, election officials recount them, and then each one is provided with special security signs.
The Federation Council has scheduled presidential elections for March 17, 2024. Voting will last three days: March 15, 16 and 17. Four candidates registered by the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation are vying for the post of head of state: Leonid Slutsky, Nikolai Kharitonov, Vladislav Davankov and Vladimir Putin.
Senator from the DPR Natalya Nikonorova previously reported that in the republic from March 10 to 14 you can vote in local areas, and from March 15 to 17 — in voting premises at polling stations. She emphasized that the elections of the head of state are organized and conducted in full accordance with the current legislation.
