SIRIUS, March 9IT specialists should learn to create, analyze and maintain digital twins already at universities, Alexey Tolstikov shared his opinion in a conversation with the head of the Yandex School of Data Analysis on the sidelines of the completed World Youth Festival in Sirius.
“Creation, analysis and support of the work of digital twins is another popular area for future IT specialists. Therefore, now it is worth not only getting an education as a mathematician-programmer who will develop software, for example, for agriculture, but also, if possible, immediately choosing the field of activity in which I want to develop,” Tolstikov said.
He noted that in the future such a specialist will be able to become a solutions architect, while having additional IT expertise skills. “For example, knowledge about the operation of agricultural systems expands the developer’s competencies and facilitates the creation of innovative solutions,” the expert added.
According to him, good IT specialists should also be trained at universities to work on the basis of neural networks. Thus, in the next five years, specialists in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI), as well as data analytics, will be especially in demand in the labor market. At the same time, the introduction of new technologies in all areas of life increases the demand for specialists who work at the intersection of IT and other areas: medicine, education, industry, economics, sociology.
The expert added that in addition, there will be a growing demand for specialists who can create and work with cloud solutions, for example, DevOps engineers and information security specialists who accompany the development, testing and use of IT products.
