MOSCOW, March 8 Presidential Press Secretary Russia's Dmitry Peskov said that it is too early to say whether the head of state plans to travel to new regions of the country before the presidential elections.
«It is too early to say. You know, he has been there (to new regions — ed.), I have been there more than once, and will continue to happen, but I can’t tell you exactly when this will happen,” Peskov said, answering the corresponding question.
The Federation Council has scheduled presidential elections for March 17, 2024. Voting will last three days: March 15, 16 and 17.
Four candidates registered by the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation are vying for the post of head of state: Leonid Slutsky, Nikolai Kharitonov, Vladislav Davankov and Vladimir Putin.
