Three clusters will be created in the SEZ in the Tver region

RYAZAN, March 9 Logistics, industrial and chemical clusters will be located in the created special economic zone (SEZ) Emmauss in the Tver region, the press service of the regional government reported.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on the creation of three new and expansion of two existing special economic zones in Mordovia, Kaluga, Lipetsk, Rostov and Tver regions.

“The Emmauss SEZ in the Tver region was created on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin. It is planned to locate several industry clusters on the territory — logistics, industrial, chemical,” the statement says.

It is noted that SEZ resident enterprises will be engaged in the production of polyethylene pipes, sheet metal processing, and the creation of domestic cable cars. In addition, it is planned to establish the production of dry construction mixtures and launch the production of concrete and polymer structures for the transport industry. One of the companies intends to expand its confectionery production capacity. Investors are ready to invest more than 17 billion rubles in their projects at the first stage and create almost 8.4 thousand new jobs.
“The production of modern goods and companies providing various services will be concentrated at two sites. It is important that the SEZ will become a tool for attracting additional investments into the economy. For its part, the region is actively working to provide infrastructure. It is planned to be completed by the end of November this year. On the territory of the SEZ, several unique production facilities will be located, the creation of which is already underway,” Governor Igor Rudenya was quoted as saying by his press service.
Currently, eight companies have confirmed their readiness to locate their production facilities on the site. All projects are under implementation; the first production is planned to be launched in the first half of 2025. Three more companies specializing in the production of electrical products, furniture, and industrial equipment expressed their readiness to become residents of the SEZ, the report emphasizes.
The total currently declared area of ​​the Emmauss SEZ is about 300 hectares with development prospects of up to 1.8 thousand hectares.
