MOSCOW, February 24, Anastasia Silkina.One of the most popular artists in Turkey, Burak Özçivit, known here for his roles in the films “The Magnificent Century”, “Black Love” and “Foundation: Osman”, became a special guest of the film concerts “Music of Turkish TV Series”. The Moscow evening turned into a creative meeting. The actor performed “Kalinka” and received a matryoshka doll with his portrait and a hat with earflaps as a gift. He also answered questions from host Vyacheslav Makarov, fans and journalists.
About Russia: “My glass of coffee is frozen”
“I’ve been here ten times already.” I remember when I arrived as a model, I went outside with a glass of coffee — and it froze. I told everyone in Turkey about this! And then I began to come more often and got used to it, and was no longer surprised by anything. (Laughs.) Now my filming is taking place in an incredibly cold place by Turkish standards, but in comparison with Russia it is summer there.
Moscow has changed a lot, your financial center is especially impressive (Moscow City. — Approx. ed.). What doesn't change is people's energy.
About fans: “My wife knows that I’m popular in Russia”
— My wife and I (Fahrie Evgen. — Note ed.) we met on the set — she is an actress, and she also has a huge number of fans.
Family is generally my greatest pride. I often take children to shoots. If one of them wants to become an artist, I won’t mind.
About “The Magnificent Century”: “Even I don’t know how many episodes there are”
— “The Magnificent Century” has become popular in different countries. My hero, military leader Malkocioglu Bali Bey, has many fans all over the world, but I believe that in Russia he has the most fans. I think it's all about the character: he's a man you can rely on. The writers tried to insist on some ugly actions of Malkocioglu, but I refused.

Even I don’t know how many episodes there are in this project! My filming lasted, it seems, two seasons, that is, two to two and a half years. And together with preparation — all three. I rode a horse and fought with swords.
My character stayed in the series longer than the writers originally planned — the audience loved him very much.
About emotions: “I’m trying to teach men to cry”
— We spent a whole year preparing for the filming of «Black Love». And the name was invented two days before the premiere.

I heard that in Russia men never cry. People ask me all the time: “Why are you crying in TV series?” I'm trying to teach others to cry. (Laughs.)

Filming in Turkish TV series is not easy: we work six days a week. There is nothing to even talk about the length of the working day. For example, yesterday I filmed until two o’clock in the morning — and after that I was here in Moscow.
I would like some project with my participation to be re-shot in Russia. I think “Black Love” would be suitable for this.
I am constantly asked if I know this or that Russian actor or director. But it seems to me that this is not particularly important. I think the main thing is to unite the strengths of our cultures.
About hobbies: ready to hold an exhibition of my paintings in Russia
— I graduated from the Faculty of Arts with a degree in painting. I prefer to paint in an abstract manner. I hope that in the near future I will organize an exhibition and bring it to Russia.
