MOSCOW, March 11 Russia appears to produce three times more artillery shells than the US and European countries combined, an advantage that has a significant impact on the outcome of the conflict, CNN reports citing NATO intelligence.
“Russia appears to produce nearly three times more artillery ammunition than the United States and Europe, a key advantage ahead of another Russian offensive in Ukraine,” the channel said. However, CNN does not explain why it concludes that there is a new Russian offensive.
According to the channel, citing NATO intelligence data, Russia produces about 250 thousand artillery ammunition per month, or about 3 million shells per year, while, according to the channel's source from European intelligence, the United States and Europe combined are capable of producing only about 1.2 million ammunition per year to be sent to Kyiv.
According to an unnamed senior NATO official, the outcome of the conflict in Ukraine depends on how each side is equipped. In the production of artillery shells, he added, Russia has a significant advantage.
Earlier, the New York Times, citing American and European officials, reported that Russia has overcome the impact of sanctions imposed by the West and is now producing more missiles than before the start of the CWO, as well as more ammunition than the United States and Europe.< br />
