MOSCOW, March 11Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said that the country has been bankrupt for a long time.
Earlier, the international rating agency S&P Global Ratings downgraded the long-term sovereign credit rating of Ukraine in foreign currency to «CC» from «CCC», the outlook is negative.
«Ukraine is completely insolvent. But international agencies do not risk assigning a rating corresponding to a default. Although Ukraine has been bankrupt for a long time,» Azarov wrote on his page on the social network.
As stated earlier Ukrainian parliamentarian Alexandra Ustinova, holes in the state budget are being closed with the help of Western funding; if assistance from the United States is stopped, the authorities will be forced to turn “with an outstretched hand” to the G7 countries. At the end of November 2023, Vladimir Zelensky signed a draft law on the state budget of Ukraine for 2024 with a deficit of more than $43 billion.
