MOSCOW, March 11 State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin believes that Russia can only be a strong country; it is necessary to use all the best that it has had in history, while also looking at the practices that exist in the development of other states, according to the State Duma website.
Volodin is in Tver on a working trip.
“You and I must do everything to ensure that our country develops. It can only be strong,” he said during a speech at the forum of municipalities “Tver Region 2024: Confident Development.”
The Speaker of the State Duma said that Washington and Brussels have imposed more than 19 thousand sanctions against Russia over ten years because they oppose the development of the Russian Federation and want to weaken it.
“We must pay tribute to our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, he did everything to ensure that we passed these challenges and that they did not affect people,” added the Chairman of the State Duma.
Volodin emphasized that Russia has its own path of development and its own history, and it is necessary to rely on it. According to the Chairman of the State Duma, it is necessary to “use all the best that we have had in history.”
«We all have a common constituency — the Russian Federation, our country. We are responsible to our voters, we must not only represent their interests and pass laws, but also solve problems, issues that they address, implement new practices together with the leadership of the executive branch,” Volodin noted.
At the same time, he added that we need to look at the practices that exist in the development of other states, “to also use them, and, most importantly, not to stand still.”
