MOSCOW, March 11. The management of the Moscow football club «Spartak» has decided on candidates for the post of head coach of the team in the event of the departure of Spaniard Guillermo Abascal, RBC Sport reports, citing sources in the club.
It is reported that a working meeting of the management was held on Monday team, which was attended by the club's general director Oleg Malyshev, member of the board of directors Pavel Zhdanov and sports director Tomas Amaral.
At the meeting, the management recognized the team's performance in the match of the 20th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL) against Voronezh «Fakel» as unsatisfactory ( 0:2) March 10.
The functionaries also discussed possible candidates for the post of team coach. One of them is ex-coach of the Russian national team Stanislav Cherchesov, who previously worked with Spartak. The candidates also included three foreign specialists, whose names were not disclosed.
It is reported that the candidacies of the head coach of the Russian national team and Rostov Valery Karpin and the head of Krasnodar Vladimir Ivich were not discussed.
