BELGOROD, March 12Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian army has attacked ten districts of the Belgorod region more than 20 times with the help of drones, but there were no casualties, reported the region’s governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, on his Telegram channel.
The governor wrote about attacks from Ukraine from 7 am on March 11 to 7 am on March 12. The Ukrainian army attacked ten districts of the region with 27 shells. There were also 26 drone attacks in the region, including eight drone bombs. During the reporting day, damage was detected in 9 settlements of the region.
«In the Belgorod region in the village of Cheremoshnoye, 4 explosive devices were dropped from a UAV. No one was injured. There was damage to the power line. At the moment, the power supply has been completely restored. «In the village of Malinovka, the enemy attacked with the help of three kamikaze drones. There were no casualties or damage. Over the village of Novaya Derevnya, an enemy drone was shot down by the air defense system,» Gladkov said.
The governor added that in Belgorod, a drone fell on the territory of a private household; as a result of the explosion, windows were broken and a fence was cut. The outskirts of the village of Berezovka, Borisov district, was attacked with the help of a kamikaze drone. In the village of Uraevo, Valuysky city district, an aircraft-type drone was planted and destroyed on the spot using electronic warfare, the head of the region specified.
“In the Krasnoyaruzhsky district, the outskirts of the village of Staroselye came under fire — three arrivals were made. There were no consequences. On the outskirts of the village of Vyazovoe, two explosive devices were dropped from a quadcopter, as a result of which dead wood caught fire,” the governor said.
In the Volokonovsky district, according to Gladkov, in the village of Novoye, a kamikaze drone attacked a passenger car moving along the road. In the Grayvoronsky district on the outskirts of the village of Gorkovsky, the villages of Spodaryushino, Gora-Podol and Glotovo, a total of 21 arrivals were recorded. A drone also crashed on the outskirts of Glotovo. On the outskirts of the village of Mokraya Orlovka, one explosive device was dropped from a drone. In the village of Lugovka, an explosive device was dropped from a drone onto the territory of an agricultural enterprise.
«In the Shebekinsky urban district in the city of Shebekino, the enemy attacked with the help of a UAV. There were no casualties. As a result of the explosion, several windows were broken in two apartment buildings. Three mortar shells were fired into the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka. No one was injured. As a result of the shelling, a power line was damaged. In the village In Ziborovka, the UAV was landed by means of electronic warfare without further detonation,” Gladkov emphasized.
As the head of the region noted, three drones crashed in the Stary Oskol district. One drone fell near an infrastructure facility. When the second one fell, the fence of an infrastructure facility was damaged. The third drone fell on the tram tracks. In the Yakovlevsky urban district in the city of Stroitel and the village of Tomarovka, four kamikaze drones attacked two infrastructure facilities.
A high (yellow) level of terrorist danger has been established throughout the Belgorod region since April 11, 2022. The need to introduce a regime is caused by the aggravation of the situation on the Ukrainian-Russian border and the increased activity of the Ukrainian military in the border areas. The length of the Ukrainian border with the Belgorod region is 350 kilometers.
