WASHINGTON, 11 mar. The 96th Academy Awards ceremony took place in Los Angeles, and Christopher Nolan's thriller «Oppenheimer» was recognized as the best film of the year. The event was broadcast by ABC.
«Oppenheimer» was nominated in 13 categories and won awards in seven. Christopher Nolan himself received a statuette in the category «Best Director», and Cillian Murphy, who played the main role, received a nomination for «Best Actor». The film was also awarded for Best Supporting Actor (Robert Downey Jr.), cinematography, editing and music.
- Emma Stone received the award in the category «Best Actress» , who starred in the film «The Poor Miserables»;
- The British film «Zone of Interest» by Jonathan Glazer was recognized as the best foreign film;
- Davaine Joy Randolph («The Leftovers») received the award for best supporting actress. li class=»article__list-item»>In the category «Best Short Film» the statuette was won by Wes Anderson's work «The Marvelous Story of Henry Sugar»;
- In the category «Best Documentary Film» awards Ukrainian work «20 days in Mariupol» was awarded;
- Movie Academy Award Trieu won in the category “Best Original Screenplay” with the film “Anatomy of a Fall”;
- The authors of the film “American Fiction” received an Oscar for the adapted screenplay;
- The Academy Award in such categories as «Makeup/Hairstyle», «Art Direction» and «Costumes» was received by the film «The Poor Miserables»;
- For visual effects, film academics noted the creators of the Japanese film “Godzilla: Minus One.”
