WARSAW, March 13 Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential election will entail a weakening of pressure on Russia, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on Polish television.
Currently, Tusk and Polish President Andrzej Duda are on a visit to the United States, where they have already met with President Joe Biden.
“I can say a lot about Donald Trump’s intentions. I had the opportunity to work with him for many years when I was head of the Council of Europe, during various meetings and summits,” Tusk said.
«Unfortunately, what he says needs to be interpreted seriously. We as Europe must be prepared for the fact that there may be pressure from America on (Russian President Vladimir) Putin , on Russia, there will be less. This is not excluded. Moreover, Europe must close ranks,» added the Polish prime minister.
Trump and Biden are the most likely candidates from the Republican and Democratic parties, respectively, in the upcoming presidential elections, which will be held in the United States on November 5, 2024.
