TYUMEN, March 13 Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate in the village of Kazanskoye, Tyumen Region, detained a local resident at the bank, who, at gunpoint, stole more than 3 million rubles from the cash register, according to the website MIA Media.
«Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Tyumen Region detained a man at the exit from a bank branch who, at gunpoint, stole over 3 million rubles from the cash register… An investigator of the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kazan district of the Tyumen region opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 4 Article 162 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation. The defendant was detained in accordance with Article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation,» the message states.
It was established that at around 2 p.m. local time the man entered the client booth, pointed a hunting rifle at the office manager, demanded money, broke the glass with the butt of the gun, entered the cash register, transferred over 3 million rubles into a sports bag and headed for the exit. However, at the moment of his appearance, the woman managed to press the alarm button — a message about the alarm going off was received by the police duty station, and at the exit of the intruder, the State Traffic Inspectorate officers, who were closest to other security forces, were already waiting.
Official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk noted that the actions of the 52-year-old detainee were led by curators. “Using various psychological manipulations, they first convinced the man to sell his car, take out a loan for 2.5 million rubles and send funds to so-called safe accounts, which actually belonged to them. And then they gave him the task of robbing a bank,” Volk said , emphasizing that “a legal assessment will also be given to fraudulent actions previously committed against the person involved.”
