Do you not like the modern trend in automotive design for double-decker optics with narrow diode DRLs and headlights recessed into the front bumper? You are not alone! We decided to depict what the most popular new products would look like without the “extra” element in the form of DRLs pulled up to the hood. Let's start with Hyundai, one of the companies that most often uses this technique.
In the modern Hyundai model range there are already a lot of cars with two-tier headlights, and one of the first is the fourth generation Hyundai Santa Fe, once popular in Russia. Its premiere took place in February 2018, but we took the restyled model, which appeared in the summer of 2020, for rendering. By the way, the fifth generation Santa Fe surprisingly became an exception to the rule, having received headlights that were quite traditional in shape.

Another crossover in this collection is the flagship Hyundai Palisade, which was first demonstrated at the end of 2018. In April 2022, the SUV received a very significant update to the front part, but the characteristic optics, stretched to the full height of the front part, were preserved.

One of the most interesting recent products of the Korean company is the eighth generation Hyundai Sonata sedan, which initially received a very unique design. During the restyling carried out a year ago, the car was radically transformed, and it received an LED strip across the entire width of the front end. What would the sedan look like without it?

Another flagship of the Korean company is made in the same style, this time a passenger car — the seventh generation Grandeur sedan. Its premiere took place a little earlier than the Sonata — at the end of 2022.

Finally, the futuristic Staria minivan, which could not avoid this design technique, will complete the selection. The model premiered in the spring of 2021, and at the beginning of 2022 we conducted a test drive of the new product.
