In the Belgorod region, a car caught fire during shelling, the driver died, said Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.
Footage from video recorders on the road was posted by the city public pages “BelPlus” and “Tin Belgorod”.
The Agency established the location of the explosion: it happened on Volchanskaya Street on the southern outskirts of Belgorod, near the intersection with Zelenaya Polyana Street. The Belgorodnefteprodukt oil depot is located 4 kilometers from this place.
According to the governor, air defense systems shot down “8 air targets on approach” to Belgorod, three casualties are known — two women and a man.
In addition, two private houses were damaged in Belgorod, and the roof of an unnamed “health care institution” was broken and the fifth and sixth floors were damaged.
In the morning, Gladkov also wrote about the drone attack on Belgorod and the village Prokhorovka, in the latter two private houses were damaged.
