MOSCOW, March 12 American pop singer Eric Carmen, best known as the author of the 1970s hit “All by myself,” has died at the age of 74, the musician’s representatives said .
«It is with great sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Eric Carmen. Our sweet, loving and talented Eric passed away in his sleep over the weekend,» reads the message on the artist's website.
Carmen also wrote the song «Hungry Eyes», which became famous as a soundtrack to the movie «Dirty Dancing».
