The premiere of the rear-engine electric sports hatchback Cupra Born VZ took place in February, but now its closest relative, the Volkswagen ID.3 GTX, has been declassified. Unlike the “Spaniard”, the German hot hatch offers two power options — 286 or 326 hp.
Volkswagen ID.3 debuted in 2019, last year it underwent restyling and only now the top sports version ID.3 GTX appears on the scene, and not a dual-engine all-wheel drive, as expected, but a single-engine rear-wheel drive, albeit quite powerful. In terms of technology, the Volkswagen ID.3 GTX is maximally unified with the Cupra Born VZ, which debuted in February, but there are several point differences and one significant one: while the Born VZ only comes with 326 horsepower, on the base ID.3 GTX the electric motor produces a maximum of 286 horsepower . and 545 Nm. The same output as the Born VZ is available on the ID.3 GTX Performance version, here the power is increased to 326 hp. with a constant torque of 545 Nm.

We would like to add that recently it became known that Volkswagen abandoned plans to expand production of the ID.3, as the demand for this model turned out to be much less than expected.
