LUGANSK, March 15 Anti-fascist public figures from Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Portugal and Brazil, including the leader of the Italian group Banda Bassotti David Cacchione, arrived on a visit to the Lugansk People's Republic to express support for the residents of Donbass, the correspondent reports.
«The main goal is to show that the residents of Donbass are supported by many from the European Union. And despite the official position of European countries, the official position of the government, most people actually support the residents of Donbass. The arrival of the «anti-fascist caravan», social activists and anti-fascists from Italy, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Brazil and other countries, so that the residents of Donbass can see that there are thousands, millions of people with them who live in different countries, and we are united by one thing — the fight against fascism, the fight against Nazism» , — said Oleg Akimov, a public figure, chairman of the public organization «Union of Compatriots of the Lugansk Region».
Foreigners visited the memorial complex «The Unhealing Wound of Donbass», opened in November at the site of the mass grave of militiamen and LPR residents who died as a result of Ukrainian aggression, and also laid flowers at the monument to the dead children, thus honoring their memory. Members of the delegation admitted to journalists that they are ashamed of the military assistance that Europe provides to Kiev.
“It is a shame that the government of my country sends assistance to the Ukrainian military so that people can be killed here. This is not what my people want. In Italy there is very strong manipulation on television and in the press, and few people know what is really going on. And it is all in the hands of NATO and the US government,» Cacchione told reporters.
