The Russian Guard reported battles with “Ukrainian saboteurs” near the village of Tetkino in the Kursk region. Representatives of the Ministry of Defense also write about an “attempt to break through” the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area of the village of Spodaryushino in the Belgorod region.
According to the governor of the Kursk region, Russian security forces “did not allow” the Ukrainian military to enter “our territory.” At the same time, representatives of the “Freedom of Russia” legion fighting on the side of Ukraine published a video, the footage of which allegedly shows the explosions of two ammunition depots in Tetkino.
In a report about Spodaryushchevo, the Ministry of Defense reports that “as a result of air strikes and artillery fire,” the Russian military killed up to 195 Ukrainian soldiers and knocked out 15 combat vehicles. The department does not write about its own losses.
The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported another woman died in the regional capital. According to him, the car she was driving flew into a ditch due to the explosion. According to the Baza telegram channel, the explosion occurred near the Belgorod station. A column of black smoke was visible in the city center. Earlier, Gladkov wrote about another woman who died in Belgorod — she was in a car that exploded as a result of shelling.
In addition, the head of the region reported six victims in Belgorod and its environs: two women with barotrauma, man with a shrapnel wound to the shoulder and three children with cuts to their legs from broken glass. The governor added that 13 cars, eight apartment buildings and one educational institution were damaged by shelling.
Shortly before reports of explosions and battles appeared, representatives of the Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK) fighting on the side of Ukraine warned that they would strike military targets in Kursk, Belgorod and Bryansk regions, and asked residents of these regions to go to shelters. The head of the Oryol region, Andrei Klychkov, also wrote about the drone attack in his Telegram channel.
