A woman, who was part of the election commission at one of the polling stations in Izhevsk, was detained while trying to pour brilliant green onto the ballot processing complex, RIA Novosti reports citing law enforcement officers .
The incident happened before the closure of the polling station in the Leninsky district of Izhevsk, the Udmurt election commission reported. As noted, a 43-year-old woman, whose name is Nadezhda Pinegina, was nominated to the election commission from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and had the right to a decisive vote.
The operators of the ballot processing complex responded to her provocation in a timely manner, and the documents were not damaged.
Law enforcement officers are currently working with Pinegina, a procedural decision will be made regarding her.
