The Bavarian manufacturer announced the launch of sales of the final batch of “hot” four-door cars with manual transmission on the Japanese market.
BMW M3 is a “charged” version of the 3 series, the BMW M division is responsible for the development of the sports version. The current four-door Emka was presented in the fall of 2020, now the Bavarian manufacturer continues to develop a new generation model, but it will probably be presented only in a few years. And now the changes have affected the current version of the BMW M3.

The German company said that in one of the markets where the model is present, in Japan, sales of the BMW M3 MT Final Edition have started: all cars of this limited edition are equipped with a six-speed manual transmission. The batch numbers only 150 copies. The company noted that if the number of people wishing to buy a car of the final special version exceeds the specified limit, the “lucky ones” will be chosen in May in a lottery format.
Once dealers sell out of all 150 manual units, the model will only be offered in the Japanese market with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It is known that the sports cars of the BMW M3 MT Final Edition series are available in three body colors: Alpine White, Black Sapphire and M Brooklyn Gray (50 copies of each color are planned to be produced).
All “charged” special edition sedans received matte gold wheels in the style of the 827 M, inspired by the E30 M3 DTM, which was raced by famous racer Roberto Ravaglia. The interior of the limited edition sports car is distinguished by the presence of contrasting red accents on the seats.
Recall that the current BMW M3 sedan with an automatic transmission is equipped with a 3.0-liter S58 twin-turbo six, the output of which is 510 hp, and the maximum torque is 650 Nm, with a manual transmission 480 hp. and 550 Nm.
Accepting orders for the BMW M3 MT Final Edition will end on March 27 this year. The price of the car from the final batch is already known: in Japan, for such a sedan they are asking 14,200,000 yen (equivalent to approximately 8.75 million rubles at the current exchange rate).
Last week it became known that the new generation BMW M3 may retain the 3.0-liter twin-turbo six, but it will be upgraded so that it meets emissions requirements harmful substances into the atmosphere. It is assumed that the model will also have a fully electric version, which will be based on the Neue Klasse platform.
Kolesa.ru previously reported that the Bavarians decided not to send into production the “clown shoe” BMW Touring Coupe based on Z4. Initially, it was assumed that the company would still decide to release 50 copies, setting the price tag at $250 thousand, but later it became known that this project was not given the green light.
