SAMARA, March 16 An open fire was eliminated at the Syzran oil refinery in the Samara region, which was attacked by a UAV on Saturday morning, the regional government reported with with reference to the data of the regional State Emergency Service.
«According to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Samara Region, at 09.03 (8.03 Moscow time) at the site of the fire at JSC «Syzran Oil Refinery» localization of open burning was announced on an area of 500 square meters, at 13.25 (12.25 Moscow time) liquidation of open burning was announced» , — reported the government of the Samara region.
Efforts are now underway to completely eliminate the fire.
Earlier, the governor of the Samara region, Dmitry Azarov, reported that on Saturday morning, UAVs attacked the Syzran and Novokuibyshevsk oil refineries. As a result, at the first plant a fire broke out in a petroleum products processing unit; at the second plant the attack was stopped. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties.
