NEW DELHI, March 17 Polling stations for voting in the presidential elections in the Russian Federation opened on Sunday in New Delhi and four other Indian cities, the Russian Embassy reported.
Voting places have opened at the Russian Trade Mission in New Delhi, the Russian Consulate General in Mumbai, the office of the Honorary Consul of Russia in the Goan city of Panaji, the Russian Consulate General in Kolkata and the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Chennai.
Voting at polling stations in India will take place from 08.00 to 20.00 local time (5.30 — 17.30 Moscow time).
Addresses of all five polling stations and telephone numbers for contacting them are listed on the official website of the Russian Embassy in India.
Citizens of the Russian Federation who are over 18 years of age and are permanently or temporarily located in India can take part in voting. You must have a valid international passport with you.
The Federation Council has scheduled presidential elections for March 17, 2024. Voting lasts three days: March 15, 16 and 17. Four candidates registered by the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation are vying for the post of head of state: Leonid Slutsky, Nikolai Kharitonov, Vladislav Davankov and Vladimir Putin.
