MOSCOW, March 17 Turnout in remote electronic voting (DEG) in the Russian presidential elections was 94%, this is an absolute record in the world , said the head of the territorial election commission DEG (TEC DEG) Oleg Artamonov.
“»This year, in these elections, we, of course, have an absolute record for the number of voters in remote electronic voting. We have 4,767,974 voters registered and able to take part in the federal DEG system. This number is an absolute record for the world, and for Russia. Never anywhere in the DEG has even close to the number of voters taken part. At the moment, 4,499,003 voters have already voted, or rather, received ballots. This is a turnout of 94 percent, this, if my memory serves me correctly, is the best result in the entire practice of using DEG in Russia and in the world,” Artamonov said at the CEC information center.
Voting in the presidential elections of the Russian Federation takes place for the first time over three days: March 15, 16 and 17. Four candidates registered by the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation are vying for the post of head of state: Leonid Slutsky, Nikolai Kharitonov, Vladislav Davankov and Vladimir Putin.
