MOSCOW, March 18 Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev suggested that he did not have enough family support in the final of the Masters series tournament in the American Indian Wells against the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz.
The meeting ended with a score of 7:6 (7:5), 6:1 in favor of the Spaniard. Last year, Alcaraz also beat Medvedev in the final of the Indian Wells tournament.
““I want to congratulate Carlos and his team. I hope someday you will allow me to play here a little better or maybe I won’t play with you in the final. So far it hasn’t worked out,” Medvedev is quoted as saying by The Tennis Letter on social network X.
«My wife and daughter were on the plane (during the game). So maybe they didn't energize me today because they were in the air,» added the 28-year-old Russian.
Medvedev is ranked fourth in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings.
