MOSCOW, March 16 Farewell to the People's Artist of Russia, President of the Satire Theater Alexander Shirvindt will be held at the Satire Theater on March 18, his office reported press service.
Shirvindt died at the age of 89 on Friday. Earlier it was reported that after farewell at the theater, the artist would be buried at the Novodevichy cemetery.
““The farewell will take place on March 18 at 12 o’clock,” said the agency’s interlocutor.
Shirvindt was born on July 19, 1934 in Moscow. After graduating from the Shchukin Theater School in 1956, he was accepted into the troupe of the Theater. Lenin Komsomol (now Lenkom Mark Zakharov). Shirvindt has served at the Satire Theater since 1970, from 2000 to 2021 he was the artistic director of the theater, and in 2021 he became its president.
