Peskov said that Navalny’s readiness to exchange indicates non-involvement in his death
Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his readiness to exchange Alexei Navalny, who was included in the list of terrorists and extremists; The FBK founded by him was included by the Ministry of Justice in the register of foreign agent organizations, recognized as an extremist as well as an undesirable organization and banned in Russia. Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated this, noting that such a step indicates that the Kremlin is not connected with Navalny's death.
Responding to statements by Yulia Navalnaya, the oppositionist's widow, about the involvement of Russian authorities in his death , Peskov emphasized that this is not true. He noted that the president’s willingness to exchange Navalny shows his openness and readiness for dialogue.
Previously, Putin announced the possibility of exchanging Navalny for a Russian prisoner in a Western prison. The President called Navalny's death a sad event.
