MOSCOW, March 18 Governor of the Moscow Region Andrey Vorobyov congratulated the presidential candidate and current head of state Vladimir Putin on his convincing victory in the elections and thanked the residents of the Moscow region for the high turnout.
«»Presidential elections have taken place. For the first time, we have more than 6 million voters in the Moscow region. And also for the first time, 4 million 800 thousand of our residents came to the polling stations, this is a turnout of 77%. We congratulate our president on an important and convincing victory. I would like to thank everyone who came to the polling stations or cast their vote electronically,” Vorobiev noted in his official Telegram channel.
The governor also noted that it is important for the region that positive changes continue in various spheres of life.
““The key ones are supported by the president in every region of Russia and, of course, in our Moscow region. We are all together with the president — one team,” added Vorobiev.
For the first time in the Russian Federation, voting lasted three days: March 15, 16 and 17.
According to the Central Election Commission, after processing 100% of the protocols, the candidate and current President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin (self-nominated) gains 86.50% of the votes, the head of the State Duma Committee for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic Nikolai Kharitonov (Communist Party of the Russian Federation) gains 5.09% of the votes, Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Vladislav Davankov («New People») — 4.21% of the votes, Chairman of the LDPR Leonid Slutsky (LDPR) — 3.04% of the votes.
