The socket version debuted with a 177-horsepower unit. The new execution will be global, with full-scale sales planned to begin next year.
The Thai division of the Japanese company Isuzu held a press conference dedicated to its “green” future. And the first show of the electric version of the D-Max pickup took place there. This is still a concept with a simple EV prefix, but a production launch date has already been announced — such a truck will be installed on the assembly line of a Thai plant (the company also makes diesel Isuzu D-Max) in 2025, and they plan to sell it not only in its production homeland, but also in Australia, Europe and other countries where the appropriate infrastructure is developed.

The electric car is based on the “traditional” D-Max, so it retains the frame structure. The concept is presented with a four-door cab and dual-motor all-wheel drive. A 54-horsepower electric motor is installed at the front, and a 122-horsepower motor at the rear. The total output of the Isuzu D-Max EV Concept is 177 hp. and 325 Nm. Load capacity – 1 ton. The stated maximum speed is “more than 130 km/h.”
The pickup is equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 66.9 kWh, but the power reserve has not yet been officially announced. Thai specialized media write that Isuzu is aiming for a range of about 300 km. However, there is no data yet on which cycle this indicator is calculated for.

Externally, the electric pickup truck differs from its diesel brother in the design of the front part: in place of the radiator grille there is a plug with slots , in addition, the concept received new decorative dies. The interior was not shown. Most likely, the electric D-Max will repeat the “traditional” versions inside.
Mild hybrid Isuzu D-Max MHEV
Together with the electric pickup, they also presented a mild-hybrid version of the MHEV: in this Isuzu D-Max, the junior 1.9 turbodiesel has an add-on in the form of a 48-volt starter-generator. But the start date for sales of this modification has not been announced; the company only noted that it is in the process of studying the market. It is possible that Isuzu will first look at the success of the mild-hybrid Toyota Hilux pickup.
