The Ivanovo District Court of the Ivanovo Region sentenced the editor-in-chief of IvanovoNews Sergei Kustov to 10 days of arrest, the editors of the publication reported.
The journalist was found guilty of “disobedience” to security forces (Article 19.3 of the Administrative Code) at the site of the Il-76 crash on March 12 , which killed 15 people. In the protocol, the police indicated that Kustov did not respond to their demands to leave the “cordoned off area of the crash site.”
Kustov himself said that there was no cordon at the crash site near the Severny airfield, and the police did not make any comments to anyone a dozen people gathered.
According to the journalist, five police officers attacked him without warning, twisted his arms, demanded that he delete the footage and took away his phone. After that, he was placed in the “glass” of a UAZ official car and kept there for about three hours.
