The case of a 20-year-old Muscovite who poured paint into a ballot box will be considered in a special manner; the investigation took five days

The Butyrsky District Court of Moscow received materials from the criminal case against Alina Nevmyanova, who on March 15 poured green paint into a ballot box on Altufevskoye Highway. Information about this appeared in the court file, Mediazona noted.

Nevmyanova is accused of obstructing the work of election commissions, committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy (clause “c” of Part 2 of Article 141 of the Criminal Code). On March 16, a 20-year-old Muscovite was sent to a pre-trial detention center; the investigation into the case was completed in five days.

The court will consider the criminal case in a special manner, that is, without examining the evidence, since Nevmyanova fully admitted her guilt. The date for the first court hearing has not yet been set.

Baza and Shot on the first day of voting, March 15, published videos from surveillance cameras at the polling station on Altufevskoye Highway. The recording shows how a girl with a bottle of ink in her hands throws a ballot into the ballot box and immediately fills the hole with green paint. After that, a policeman takes her away. Telegram channels claimed that the girl was “instructed by someone” over the phone.

In addition, in four days the investigation of the same criminal case was completed against a Moscow pensioner named Petrukhina, who was probably charged with arson of a voting booth in the Lyublino area. The case materials were registered the day before by the Lyublinsky District Court.

The investigation on March 16 demanded that Petrukhina be placed under house arrest, but the court did not do this. According to the court ruling, Petrukhina has never been prosecuted; she has cancer. She fully admitted her guilt.

The investigation into the case of obstructing the work of the election commission (clause “c” of Part 2 of Article 141 of the Criminal Code) against another Muscovite named Denisov was completed in just three days — on March 26, the first hearing in his case will take place in the Chertanovsky District Court.

All three days of elections in Russia were accompanied by attacks on polling stations and attempts to spoil ballots. The detainees themselves said that they were pushed to do this by telephone scammers. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that during the voting “52 facts were recorded <…> bringing dyes and flammable liquids» to the sites, at least 33 criminal cases have been initiated.
