MOSCOW, March 21The Tambov region, together with Belarus, has launched the production of unmanned harvesters; investments in the import-substituting agricultural machinery project will amount to about 5 billion rubles, the press service of the regional government reported.
«»In the Tambov region, on the basis of the Titan enterprise, the production of unmanned combines has begun. The investment project is being implemented jointly with the Belarusian plant Gomselmash. The project will increase the annual volume of main production to 600 units of equipment and will create 200 jobs,» – the message says.
It is specified that the total investment will be about 5 billion rubles, the project implementation period will be 5 years. The project is aimed at import substitution in the agricultural machinery industry. The Industrial Development Fund of the Tambov Region will provide financing support on preferential terms.
“The Titan GS-10 PRO combine harvesters are focused on the needs of farms with significant volumes of grain harvesting… The produced combines will be equipped with a pre-installed parallel driving system, which allows for smooth passage across the field, avoiding gaps and overlaps,” the authorities note.
In addition, according to the authorities, an agro-industrial cluster will be created on the territory of the industrial site, where it is planned to launch the production of unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as components and spare parts for agricultural machinery.
It is noted that the launch of the production of combines is the result of agreements between the delegation of the government of the Tambov region led by Governor Maxim Egorov and the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko during negotiations in Minsk last year.
