UFA, March 21 The fire at an electrical substation in Ufa, due to which forty residential high-rise buildings were de-energized, has been completely eliminated, reported the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for Bashkiria .
Earlier, the head of the city, Radmir Mavliev, reported in his Telegram channel that due to a fire in the electrical substation building, 40 residential apartment buildings in the Kalininsky district were left without electricity. Also, 4 schools, 8 kindergartens and 1 administrative building were cut off from power supply.
“The fire has been completely extinguished,” reported the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for Bashkiria.
Previously, the department specified that the burning area is 40 square meters.
According to the Ufa mayor's office, some buildings are already connected to electricity. “There were no injuries. Elimination of the consequences of the fire continues. The situation is under control,” the city administration said in a release.
