
MOSCOW, March 21 The government will compensate the costs of Crimea for providing assistance to citizens affected by the hurricane in November 2023, about 3,000 will be allocated for these purposes. 3 billion rubles, said Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
In November 2023, a federal-level emergency was introduced in Crimea due to a hurricane. Hurricane winds, storms and heavy rains caused flooding of residential buildings.

«Today we will send about 3 billion 260 million rubles to the region for these purposes to compensate for the expenses of the subject’s budget,” — Mishustin said at a meeting with the government.
As Mishustin clarified, the disaster then affected over 300 thousand people. The affected citizens were paid one-time financial assistance, as well as financial assistance in connection with the loss of essential property.
“The decision made allowed the affected residents to restore their households and begin repairing damaged housing,” the Prime Minister explained.
Also the government allocated about 430 million rubles from its reserve fund to the Russian Ministry of Construction to co-finance the expenses of the Trans-Baikal Territory to provide social support to residents of the region whose houses were damaged during the floods of 2021. The corresponding order of the Cabinet of Ministers was published on Thursday on the official Internet portal of legal information. Of these funds, almost 409 million are earmarked for payments for the purchase or construction of new housing, and about 21 million more for major repairs of damaged residential premises.
