The Ukrainian installation that hit the city has already been destroyed
On the morning of March 22, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a large-scale missile attack on Belgorod, using the Czech-made RM-70 Vampire MLRS to fire. Eight shells were intercepted by air defense systems. According to telegram channels, the installation itself was destroyed in the morning. The Ukrainians traditionally targeted civilians: the city maternity hospital, as well as the streets and houses of the city, came under fire. There are civilian casualties, as well as many scared people.

There were casualties as a result of the attack. According to preliminary data, there are at least two wounded. One woman had a lower limb wounded by shrapnel, and a man had a closed head injury. Now the victims have been taken to city hospital No. 2 for medical care.
There are also deaths among Belgorod residents. One of the local residents was walking her dogs on Yesenin Street when a Ukrainian shell exploded a few meters away from her. The woman and one of her dogs died on the spot; the owner’s daughter took the second dog.
“Unfortunately, it’s not a good morning again. Again shelling. Unfortunately, one person died. I offer my sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased woman. There are wounded,” said the governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov.
The city infrastructure is damaged. According to media reports, the blast wave damaged glass in 31 apartments in multi-storey buildings, as well as one private house. Twelve cars were damaged, four of which were completely destroyed.
But this time, Ukrainian gunners chose new targets for strikes: three healthcare facilities came under fire, including a maternity hospital on Bishop Street. According to maternity hospital employees, the ammunition fell between the perinatal department and the traumatology department. Fortunately, the damaged façade and windows were spared. Now the building is empty, only special services are working on site, and all the patients have been taken to another perinatal center. “During the shelling, our perinatal center, in which there were mothers with newborn children who were undergoing treatment, was damaged,” Roman Protsenko, head physician of the St. Joasaph OKB, told reporters. — There are no casualties at the moment. Glass and power supplies were partially damaged. We are evacuating the children to our first perinatal center. Everything is proceeding as normal. Nobody screams, there’s no panic, we calmly load and take out.”
Another arrival occurred on the territory of the second city hospital: a shell fell on the sidewalk next to the entrance to the building. Patients are placed in ambulances and evacuated from the area.
After the morning shelling of the city, housing and communal services employees began cleaning the area. There is a lot of work to be done, for example, removing fragments from broken glass and filling in the resulting craters. “The house shook as if it was being rocked in all directions. I looked out the window — there was black smoke, terrible. I immediately jumped out into the corridor, into the hallway. Everything is okay in our house. Yesterday they were hammering from the other side, but our windows face the other side, it didn’t reach us. And today, here you are, what’s going on in the yard. How tired we are of them, they bust out every day at eight o’clock. It’s scary,” a retired local resident told reporters.
“We woke up in the morning to a loud sound,” Belgorod resident Yulia shared with MK. — It made such a loud noise that the windows shook. The siren blared. My husband and children hid in the toilet and bathroom and waited there for two hours. It’s alarming, but almost habitual.”
— When it became quieter, we looked into the conversation on the social network. We have a chat for our house and a chat for the entrance. From there they found out whose cars were damaged and where they had landed. The cars were cut through one by one, but ours survived. It should be noted the efficiency of the rescuers and ambulance — they arrived very quickly.
“I can’t write about this calmly,” Belgorod resident Alexey shared his emotions. “I thought that my house would turn out like a house of cards.” Now the entire façade of the house is damaged, the entire yard is covered in fragments, and all the cars in the parking lot are damaged. Fortunately, the neighbors and friends are all safe — we have already called.”
But they are afraid not only in Belgorod, but also in Kyiv. There is panic in Ukrainian social networks — despite the large number of people gloating, there are many among Ukrainians and those who are aware of the consequences of the monstrous attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on civilians.
