MOSCOW, March 19 Music producer Joseph Prigozhin said that his words about the inclusion of Igor Nikolaev’s songs in the school curriculum were distorted.
“When they asked me: “What do you think about including Gazmanov and Shaman in the school curriculum?”, I said: “Then don’t forget Igor Nikolaev too.” You see, everyone is cringing… He has amazing melodic songs about love, he is one of the amazing authors,” Prigogine said in a conversation with.
He also suggested checking whether the songs of Alexandra Pakhmutova and Maxim Fadeev were included in the list for the school curriculum. “In addition to Igor Nikolaev, we need to check whether (on this list — ed.) Alexandra Nikolaevna Pakhmutova. There are many composers who could be included, for example, Maxim Fadeev. Why not? We have many composers whose works can be included in the school curriculum , they are musicians,” Prigozhin added.
Earlier, State Duma deputy Sergei Kolunov said that the Ministry of Education supported the initiative to include modern patriotic performers in the school curriculum. Deputy Alexey Govyrin, in turn, said that the school curriculum already has the opportunity to study the songs of singer Yaroslav Dronov (Shaman), Oleg Gazmanov, the group «Lube» and other Russian performers; no innovations are required.
