PERM, March 22 The Arbitration Court of the Perm Territory seized shares of the Solikamsk Magnesium Plant from more than 2 thousand minority shareholders in favor of the state, it follows from the data of the electronic file cabinet of the arbitration court.
In 2023, the Arbitration Court of the Perm Territory accepted an application from the regional prosecutor to claim in favor of the Russian Federation the shares of Solikamsk Magnesium Plant OJSC, owned by approximately 2 thousand defendant minority shareholders. The supervisory agency indicated the need to write off registered shares of Solikamsk Magnesium Plant OJSC with a nominal value of 0.25 rubles and credit them to the account of the Federal Agency for State Property Management. The claims are justified by the illegal “disposal of federal property from state ownership,” since the privatization of the magnesium plant, according to the prosecutor’s office, was carried out without the necessary decision of the Russian government.
The court ruling on approximately 40 sheets indicates the owners of the shares: more than 2,200 individuals and about 50 banks and companies, including FIREBIRD AVRORA FUND LTD (900 registered shares), FIREBIRD FUND L.P. (800 pieces), FIREBIRD NEW RUSSIA FUND LTD (1608 pieces), Limet Ltd, Securities (Cyprus) Limited, Sam Global Inc., SKANDINAVISKA ENSKILDA BANKEN AB (200 pieces).
“The claim will be satisfied in full,” it was indicated in the electronic file of the arbitration court on Friday.
Earlier, the court of first instance satisfied the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office to reclaim more than 350 thousand shares of the plant into the state ownership of the Russian Federation, which is about 89.4% of the company's shares. The court agreed with the supervisory agency, which declared violations of the law during the privatization of the enterprise.
