MOSCOW, March 21 The 2024 International Song Contest «Intervision» was moved from St. Petersburg to Moscow, follows from the order of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, published on the portal legal acts.
«In paragraph 1 of the order of the government of the Russian Federation of December 22, 2023 No. 3798-r <…> the words «g. St. Petersburg» replace with the words «city. Moscow,» the document says.
In November last year, Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova, at a meeting with the heads of delegations at the St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum, invited her colleagues to create a common music competition «Eurasiavision+» («Intervision»). General Director of Channel One Konstantin Ernst proposed holding this event next year and making it an annual event.
