The mid-size electric crossover i-Jet has become the most expensive model of the Russian brand Evolute, launched in 2022 by Motorinvest. The same company owns a plant in the Lipetsk region, it mastered the assembly of the Evolute i-Jet crossover at the end of last year, and now this new product is entering the market.
The Evolute i-Jet is a badge-engineered Chinese Seres SF5 crossover; it has been produced in its homeland since 2019. Seres is a subsidiary of the Chinese corporation Sokon, and in China under the Seres brand it no longer operates de facto, since in 2021 Seres and the IT giant Huawei had a joint brand AITO (aka Wenjie in the Chinese market) and it was priority was given, but the Seres brand is still used in foreign markets, that is, the Seres SF5 crossover, the production of which continues in China, is, in fact, a global model.

The AITO brand has also recently been introduced in Russia; its range includes the AITO M5 crossover, which is unified in hardware with the Seres SF5, but has its own exterior and interior design, as well as on-board electronics from Huawei. The Seres SF5 and AITO M5 have both plug-in hybrid and fully electric versions. Evolute i-Jet is a clone of the electric Seres SF5, and at the moment Motorinvest offers the only version of this model with a dual-engine power plant (its total output is 585 hp and 940 Nm) and a lithium-iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 80 kWh.

Overall length of the Evolute i-Jet is 4710 mm, width is 1930 mm, height is 1620 mm, wheelbase is 2875 mm, ground clearance is 180 mm. The suspension is completely independent spring, the front is on double wishbones, the rear is multi-link. All wheels are equipped with ventilated disc brakes. The standard tire size is 255/45 R 20. The curb weight of the crossover is 2360 kg. Trunk volume is 367 liters, with the rear seatbacks folded down — 723 liters. The Evolute i-Jet reaches the first “hundred” in 4 seconds, the maximum speed is limited to 200 km/h. The range on one charge is 483 km according to the WLTP cycle.

The Evolute i-Jet interior is trimmed with eco-leather and wood-effect inserts, the instrument screen is 12.3-inch, the multimedia screen is 15.6-inch, the instrument screen is complemented by a projector of operational readings on the windshield. The equipment is so far the only one and quite rich, it includes 6 airbags, various electronic driver assistants (including adaptive cruise control), dual-zone climate control, front seats with electric adjustments and other amenities (heating, ventilation, massage), audio system with 11 speakers, video recorder, 40-watt wireless charging for two smartphones, all-round cameras, power tailgate, panoramic glass roof and much more.

Recommended retail Price Evolute i-Jet – 6 920,000 rubles, taking into account the state support program and other special conditions from the manufacturer, the price can be lowered to 5,545,000 rubles. The all-wheel drive electric AITO M5 costs about 6.5 million rubles in Russia, the specific price depends on the seller and the discounts he offers.
