MOSCOW, March 15 Prima ballerina of the Bolshoi Theater Svetlana Zakharova said that her tour with the Modanse play in Seoul was canceled not by the organizers, but at the level of the South Korean ministry culture.
The Modanse ballet, which illustrates the life of Coco Chanel, was scheduled to take place at the Seoul Arts Center from April 17 to 21. The page about Modanse was removed from the center's website, and the organizers announced the cancellation of the concert.
«I confirm that our tour with my solo program was canceled not by the tour organizers, but at the government level — the Ministry of Culture of Korea. These tours were planned four years ago, but were postponed due to the pandemic, and finally, when everything it should have worked out, the tour was banned… There was great interest in our performance. And, of course, for the organizers of the tour, who had been striving for the implementation of this project for so long and persistently, and for the audience who bought tickets, and for us, it was a shame that everything fell through,” said Zakharova.
