MOSCOW, March 22 The investigation brought charges in the final version against blogger Elena Blinovskaya, her lawyer Natalia Salnikova said.
«Today the charges were brought in the final version , on Monday they will announce the end of the investigation,” said the agency’s interlocutor.
The lawyer noted that her client admits her guilt only for tax evasion.
Previously, the final version of the charge was brought against the blogger’s husband, Alexei Blinovsky.
Blinovskaya was detained in April 2023, then she was charged with tax evasion in the amount of 918 million rubles and money laundering and was put under house arrest. Then the investigation charged the blogger with two counts of illegal circulation of payment funds and asked the court to take her into custody due to violating the terms of house arrest. The “queen of marathons” was eventually sent to a pre-trial detention center.
Also involved in the criminal case is her husband Alexey, who was charged with complicity in tax evasion and money laundering on a particularly large scale. His preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions prohibits the use of communications and the Internet, but does not restrict movement.
